Burn Out Pit 7PM to 10PM
An overall look at the 6th Annual Dan’s Tractor Inc. Harvest Nights Car Cruise
*No special exceptions will be made for same day registration.
1978 and older vehicles will only be allowed entry.
This is a closed cruise in event. Main Street will be closed from 5th to Grace, between the hours of 6pm-10pm on Friday July 14, 2017. The Cruise will begin at 6:30pm. Only those who sign the waiver (a permit requirement to hold this event) & pay the entry fee, will be allowed to cruise. If you didn’t pre-register online, please bring $20 cash at the door (no credit/debit). Proceeds benefit North County charities.
Staging begins @ 4:30p.m. All participants enter at 5th & Main (the McDonalds/Post Office intersection). You will be directed where to go, where to park and get necessary paperwork done. The staging area will remain open until all cars are on the route (sometime around 8pm). If you pre-registered, you will want to be there by 7pm, at the latest, to ensure entry. This WILL BE a SOLD OUT event, so if you didn't pre-register, you will want to be there earlier, rather than later, to try to get in. Keep in mind, if you have a vehicle that is newer than 1978, you will not be allowed to enter. Once you are in, you will get a map, and additional information about the cruise. The route will be closed until 10pm, at which time, the barricades will be removed, and the roads will re-open.
Even though the roads are re-opened @10, the band will still be playing until 11pm in the Chevron parking lot, as well as the beer garden.
All participants will get a commemorative cup, until the supply runs out. Pre-Registered folks are guaranteed a cup.
The BURN-OUT PIT... you are welcome to participate for free, you will need to sign an additional waiver before peeling rubber (the "Pit Crew" will give you this form). The burn out pit is located inside the cruise route @ Urban Basics, there is an "exit" lane to leave the route, and you re-enter the route as soon as you're done killing your tires (right by Anderson Dairy).
There is a cool off lane (Grace Ave), let the officer know you need to cool your car, and they will let you back in when you're done cooling off.
You are free to park along the cruise route. Spectators are asked to set up chairs to the back of the sidewalks.
Safety...no candy throwing, no alcohol or open containers are allowed in any vehicle. Violators will be ticketed, etc. If you need to cross the road, please only use the manned crosswalks, and wait for a crossing guard to stop traffic. Also, please keep an extra eye out for little ones; we don't want anyone to get hurt!
Our restaurants are open for business and there will be food carts near the burn out pit and stage areas.
Porta-Potties will be located along the cruise route.
T-Shirts will be available to purchase. Before the event there will be a table set up at registration. During the event, the table is moved to the Chevron parking lot. The cost is $12 or two for $20 (sizes S-XL). There will be plus sizes available, however, they are $12 each, with no discount for buying a second shirt.
The Beaches *green machine* will once again be giving rides on the route for donations. The money is used to buy wagon(s) for children fighting cancer.
Keep in mind EVERY single person you see "working" this event is volunteering their time. There is not one person who is paid to help pull this off. All of your "Committee Members" also have full time day jobs. We couldn't do this without the cooperation from the City of Battle Ground, and the numerous volunteers who help with everything from barricade monitoring to trash collecting. Thank you public works, police, HAM radio, ROTC, Explorers, and everyone who helps make this possible.
